Law Firm Overview
The Lefkowitz Firm, LLC, represents individuals and corporations in their claims for legal malpractice (legal negligence) and similar claims such as breach of fiduciary duty; misconduct by officers or shareholders in closely held businesses; trustee misconduct; executor misconduct and ethical misconduct by attorneys and other fiduciaries. The firm also handles a variety of claims in which significant damages have been caused by the wrongdoing of others, such as medical malpractice.

In 1990, Mr. Lefkowitz joined a boutique plaintiffs firm and began handling claims on behalf of plaintiffs in the areas of legal malpractice, medical malpractice, serious personal injury and other complex claims. In 1999, The Lefkowitz Firm, LLC was established.
Mr. Lefkowitz frequently is an invited speaker at continuing legal education seminars on the topics of legal malpractice, ethics and professionalism. He is chairman and moderator of an annual seminar entitled Professional and Ethical Dilemmas in Litigation, in which Supreme Court Justices, Court of Appeals Judges, Trial Judges, Ethics Experts and Practicing Attorneys address ethical and professional challenges that face lawyers in their profession. Mr. Lefkowitz also frequently writes articles for legal publications on the topics of legal malpractice and legal ethics.
David Lefkowitz graduated from Columbia University in 1985 and from the Emory University School of Law in 1988.
