Law Firm Overview

The family law practice of Lloyd Frauenglass offers a variety of services to clients in the areas of divorce, custody, mediation and collaborative law.

Our primary objective is to vigorously represent our clients' interests while helping to ease their transition to their new family units. With more than three decades of family law experience, we are able to handle routine as well as the most complicated divorce and custody issues. Our experience facilitates negotiations; however, we will pursue litigation, when necessary, to protect our clients' best interests. We limit the Family Courts in which we practice to Hartford, Rockville, Middletown, and New Britain so that we can better maintain current knowledge of local practices and judicial tendencies.

To help preserve our clients' premarital assets and fair share of assets acquired during the marriage, we use our extensive experience and knowledge of Connecticut case law in litigating and settling divorce cases. We often consult with financial professionals who represent our clients, including accountants, financial planners, business appraisers and security brokers.

Additionally, we are able to offer the benefit of a dual gender perspective, through attorney collaboration within our firm. Such a perspective provides the client added insight into the legal, economic, and emotional aspects of divorce.

We are committed to providing excellent legal representation to each and every client, always remaining mindful of our clients' needs to preserve sibling, parent and extended family relationships, as well as to develop stable relations with blended families.

We recognize the unique emotional needs of each client and respond accordingly, often working in collaboration with their therapists and other mental health professionals, to achieve the client's goals.
