As chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department, George’spractice is focused exclusively on labor and employment law. He regularly handlestraditional labor law matters and employment-related litigation and also counselsemployers of all sizes with respect to workplace issues such as:

George is a Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude graduate of Franklin ? Marshall College. He received his law degree from George Washington University’s National Law Center, where he was a member of the George Washington University Law Review and graduated with honors. George has authored numerous articles and is a frequent lecturer at workshops, conferences, and seminars with respect to a wide variety of labor and employment law issues.

George is vice-chairman of the board of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley. He also volunteers as a career counselor for the Minsi Trails Council Learning for Life program and is a soccer coach for the Parkland Area Soccer Club.

At the annual meeting of the American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley on September 18, 2007, attorney and shareholder George C. Hlavac was elected to serve as the chair of the board of directors for a two-year term. Attorney Hlavac, who chairs the THS labor and employment law department, joined the Red Cross board in September of 2003 and has previously served as the board’s vice chair and a member of the executive and human resources committee.

George is an avid sports fan. While playing football for F?M, George was named to the GTE Region II All-American team as a defensive back.
