In 1976, George D. Patte, Jr. commenced the practice of  law in Ithaca, New York. Subsequently, he was a founding partner in the firm of Greenburg and Patte (1982-1990), and its successor firm, The Patte Law Firm, with the main office in Ithaca and a branch office in Spencer, New York.

The Patte Law Firm provides individuals and businesses with professional, personalized attention and legal advice and representation in all State and Federal Courts in New York State. 

Mr. Patte regularly appears in state and federal trial and appellate courts in Central New York, including Tompkins County (Ithaca), Broome County (Binghamton)., Tioga County (Owego), Cayuga County (Auburn), Chemung County (Elmira), Cortland County (Cortland), Schuyler County (Watkins Glen), Seneca County (Waterloo).

Mr. Patte is actively involved in his community, having served as a Trustee of Ithaca College; past president of the SPCA; and is chairman of the Fall Creek Watershed Committee, associated with Cayuga Law Watershed Network.
