In my opinion Shane Phelps is by far the best Attorney in Bryan/College Station. My child chose to attend TAMU a decision we do not regret as it is a great school. But parents beware in my opinion the main source of revenue for this area is a racket going on with the Police Department, County Attorney and Municipal Court. The Police Department harass and arrest kids and then throw them in jail on what I believe are trumped up charges. We had to endure 2 other Attorneys who I eventually fired before we found Shane. Shane has the best interest of your family member as the number 1 priority not playing the game with the aforementioned "Authorities". I have been told that the County Attorney is married to a Police Officer which again in my opinion is a conflict of interest. Shane does not play games as the other Attorney's do and he resolved our case within 2 weeks, it had previously gone on for two years and cost me over $12,000. If you or your loved ones have any issues please call Shane immediately, he is available 24 hours a day and DOES pick up his phone. He was on our "case" which involved a Police Officer bullying my child, placing them at risk and then arresting them and throwing them in jail just because after being in College Station for 3 months they got lost. There was no criminal activity involved, no alcohol, no drugs, no driving, etc. In my opinion it was an outrageous abuse of his police power which traumatized innocent citizens. This behavior continues and needs to be addressed at a higher level than at the local community. Again I cannot recommend Shane highly enough, he is a true professional compassionate man with a family and will fight for your family as well.

Shane was the only Attorney to return my calls when my son was put in jail for not following his probation and driving with a suspended license. Within a few hours of speaking with him, he had my son out of jail and able to finish his semester of college. He worked with the judge to have my son on house arrest rather than do jail time during the summer. He was always available to me, or his assistant, Samantha was there. He knew exactly what needed to be done when I had no idea. I appreciate Shane's integrity and his willingness to take us on as a client. He knows the ropes, and the people that need to be seen who make the big decisions. When there was something that needed attention, Samantha would call me with the details.
