Christine A. Page is a partner with Gilchrist & Rutter. Her areas of practice include complex business litigation and dispute resolution with an emphasis in real estate, employment and securities matters. 

Ms. Page's employment practice includes representation of officers in negotiation of employment and severance agreements; advising employers on all aspects of employment law; defending employers against claims of discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination; and both prosecuting and defending claims of misappropriation of trade secrets and related unfair competition matters.

Her securities practice includes representing broker dealers, investment advisers and registered representatives in prosecuting and defending claims before FINRA Dispute Resolution (formerly NASD), and handling related regulatory investigations.

Her real estate practice includes: litigating boundary disputes, commercial lease disputes, nuisance and trespass claims, and disputes between homeowner associations and their members/third parties.

Ms. Page earned her J.D. degree with distinction at the School of Law, University of California at Davis. She received her B.A. with honors from Whittier College, Whittier, California and her Diplome d'Etudes Superieures from the University of Aix-Marseilles, Aix-en-Provence, France.

Representative Experience:

  • Prosecution of claim for breach of commercial lease resulting in seven-figure judgment affirmed on appeal.

  • Prosecution of quiet title action regarding adverse possession and prescriptive easement resulting in favorable settlement following bench trial.

  • Successful defense of broker dealers and registered representatives in FINRA/NASD arbitrations involving customer claims alleging fraud, churning, unsuitability and unauthorized trading, as well as representing them in regulatory matters.

  • Defense of $1-million federal court securities fraud action by a former customer resulting in defense verdict following two-week bench trial.

  • Successful defense of federal court Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) fraud action. Appellate court opinion in California Architectural Building Products, Inc. v. Franciscan Ceramics, Inc., 818 F.2d 144 (9th Cir. 1987) set legal standard in Ninth Circuit for summary judgment motion and for establishing "pattern" under RICO.

  • Defense of sexual harassment and assault claims resulting in defense verdict following two-week jury trial.

  • Defense of wrongful termination, sexual harassment and breach of contract claims resulting in defense verdict following one-month jury trial. Judgment affirmed in unpublished appellate opinion.

  • Defense of racial harassment and disability discrimination claims resulting in favorable settlement following jury selection.
