Kenneth M. Mattson is a senior partner at Plunkett Cooney and is a member of the firm's Medical Liability and Banking, Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice groups. As a senior trial attorney, Mr. Mattson defends professionals in malpractice lawsuits throughout Michigan and represents banks and receivers in banking-related litigation.

Mr. Mattson represents hospitals, long-term care facilities, physicians, nurses, psychologists, chiropractors, dentists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, accountants and lawyers in civil actions for professional negligence and defends professional licensing matters.

In the medical area, Mr. Mattson has handled cases of all specialty types, including industrial medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, including birth trauma, podiatry, chiropractic, neurology, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, family practice, internal medicine, ophthalmology, physical medicine, pathology, radiology, psychology, psychiatry and dentistry with lawsuits in state and federal courts. He also handles geriatric and elder care cases, which deal with nursing care facilities and independent living, and issues relating to physical therapy and falls.

He is a member of St. Clair Shores City Charter Subcommittee from 2008 to present and an annual guest lecturer at Macomb County Community College Course for Police Students.

He is a  Certificate Holder of Mediator Training Approved by the State Supreme Court Administrative Office.
