DWIGHT H. ELLIS is of counsel in our Milwaukee office where his practice includes employee benefits law.

Mr. Ellis is a graduate of Harvard University (A.B., cum laude, 1969) and Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 1972). He has been in the private practice of law for more than 29 years and was a shareholder at Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. before opening his solo practice in August 2004. He has been of counsel with Weiss Berzowski Brady since December 2005. Before private practice, he served with the Judge Advocate General Corps of the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. Ellis brings extensive experience in tax planning and employee benefits law to assist clients in the management and development of employee benefit programs. He advises clients regarding non-qualified and tax-exempt qualified retirement and welfare plans for private, public and non-profit organizations. He also provides advice and counseling to plan participants in the areas of benefits distribution and appropriate planning and elections.

Mr. Ellis is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel; a member of the State Bars of Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Arizona; and a member of the Milwaukee and American Bar Associations.
