Lawyer Overview

Amy is a shareholder in the firm of Briggs and Morgan, Professional Association. She is based in our Minneapolis office and is a member of the Business Law Section. Amy practices principally in the areas of:

• Mergers and acquisitions
• Equity and debt financing
• Entity selection and formation
• Contract drafting and negotiation
• Corporate governance and restructuring
• General corporate counseling

Amy has extensive experience providing corporate legal counsel to public and privately held companies across a variety of industries, including manufacturing, technology, services, banking, real estate, food and beverage, health care, energy, software design and licensing, aviation and automotive.

Amy is a member of the American, Minnesota State and Hennepin County Bar associations, as well as Minnesota Women Lawyers. She provides pro bono counsel for the Twin Cities Marathon and The Junior League of St. Paul. She has been named a "Rising Star" by Minnesota Law & Politics.

Amy received her B.S. in business from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, where she received the “Top Five Award” for women athletes in academics. She received her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where she was a managing editor for the Minnesota Law Review. Amy joined Briggs in 1997.
