Laura Anderson's practice focuses on defending employers at the administrative, trial, and appellate levels and providing advice regarding employment-related matters. Her practice experience includes the representation of clients in single plaintiff cases to class actions arising under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and comparable state laws as well as the defense of employers against claims for breach of employment contract, promissory estoppel, wrongful discharge in violation of public policy, and defamation. Laura also frequently represents clients in alternative dispute resolution.

From 1990 to 1996, Laura worked as an associate in the labor and employment department of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe in Los Angeles, California, where she gained broad experience representing management in employment litigation and providing advice regarding preventative practices. She joined Jones Day in 1996.
