Michael Timothy Murray, 66, died suddenly on March 16, 2011.

Michael was born September 25, 1944 in Sandusky. He attended Sts. Peter and Paul grade school and graduated from Saint Mary's High School in 1962. He was a true believer and never had the slightest doubt in mankind's relationship with God. Michael attended John Carroll University, graduating in 1966 with a B.A. in History. Michael was President of his senior class. He remained close to his Alma Mater, attending every reunion. He attended Cleveland-Marshall Law School, while working full time as a legal aide for Cuyahoga County.

Michael received his Juris Doctorate in 1970, graduating at the top of his class. Following graduation, Michael joined his father, brothers, and cousins at the Murray & Murray Law firm. He loved Murray & Murray and was an outstanding trial lawyer and advocate for his clients. He was a true advocate and he was a zealous champion for the poor and the hungry. Michael was truly donative both in terms of money and his legal help. Michael was a much loved and respected partner and a true mentor at Murray & Murray for more than 40 years. Michael had the personal responsibility for the construction of Murray & Murray's office building on the Bay waterfront.

He was a member of the Erie County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Judicature Society, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers. Michael was Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He was also a board member of the Sandusky Cultural Center.

On August 11, 1984, he married the love of his life, Tami Wagner. They have four beautiful children to whom Michael dedicated his life. He lived life to the fullest, enjoying every moment of every day. Michael was a life long runner who loved skiing with Tami and his much loved sons and daughters. He was an avid reader on most topics that affected mankind. In order to better understand cultures and civilizations, Michael and his family were dedicated world travelers.

Michael is survived by his wife, Tamara J. Murray; daughters Danielle and Michelle; sons Michael and Gabriel; brothers Dennis and his wife Peggy, and Jerry (Lightfoot) of Marblehead; sisters Kathleen McFadden and her husband Jim of California, and Elaine Drage and her husband Jack of Cleveland; numerous nieces and nephews; and his partners at Murray & Murray, Dennis Sr., Thomas, W. Patrick, James, John, Dennis Jr., Charlie, Margaret, James, Leslie, and Florence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Florence Brady Murray; sister Carol Ann McGroarty; niece and nephew Maggie and Jerry McFadden.
