This goal can sometimes be accomplished by engaging in early settlement negotiations or mediation. Where early settlement efforts are not successful because of an employer's refusal to engage in good faith negotiations, the goal of the firm is to provide effective representation of the client in litigation so that justice and monetary recovery can be obtained.
