Lawyer Overview

Rosemary O'Shea is a general business lawyer with special concentration in labor relations, employment discrimination and real property transactions.

She represents and advises clients with respect to independent contractor issues, prepares employee policy manuals and employment contracts, defends equal employment opportunity and other types of discrimination charges including sexual harassment; creates and implements drug testing policies, reviews wage and hour issues and represents employers in connection with audits by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor.

Ms. O'Shea has substantial experience in handling real estate acquisitions, development and financing transactions. She has also represented a variety of clients in matters related to title III and facilities access, under the Americans With Disabilities Act. She has advised retailers, office building owners and owners and operators in the hospitality industry on issues related to new construction and renovations of existing facilities.

Ms. O'Shea has written articles on the Americans With Disabilities Act for the Atlanta Small Business Monthly, Florida Banking, Central Florida Physician and the Business Review for Central Florida. She has spoken on a variety of employment issues at seminars presented by sponsors such as the Greater Orlando Area Chamber of Commerce and the Goldenrod Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the American Bar Association sections on labor and employment law and real property law.

Ms. O'Shea is a member of the Central Florida Hotel/Motel Association, the American Resort Development Association, and the Board of Directors of the Orlando Ballet.
