I focus my practice in Wealth Preservation Strategies, Estate Tax and Charitable Planning and I am recognized in Wyoming and throughout the Rocky Mountain region for my expertise in estate planning. Through expert planning, my goal is to help individuals and businesses achieve their goals and take advantage of all of the tax incentives available to them.

I am one of the original founders and former chairman of the Wyoming Estate Planning Advisory Counsel (WEPAC). WEPAC is an association of attorneys, CPAs and bank trust officers and insurance professionals all interested in the estate planning laws in Wyoming. WEPAC has drafted estate planning legislation and lobbied the Wyoming Legislature for passage of numerous pieces of legislation. In association with WEPAC, I have edited the Uniform Trust Code for Wyoming and have been instrumental in getting the UTC and other legislation passed into law. More notable are changes in "Rule Against Perpetuities." and the Wyoming Close LLC Supplement. The Wyoming Close LLC Supplement makes Wyoming a very attractive jurisdiction to do asset protection and estate planning. Although similar to a Family Limited Partnership, a Wyoming Close LLC is more effective in avoiding judgment creditors and less cumbersome to operate. The Wyoming Close LLC has often significant statutory restrictions or numbers that generate significant discounting opportunities. Wyoming is the first state to have the close LLC, it promises to be a wealth preservation and asset protection tool that will quickly catch on across the country.
