Thomas G. Moffitt concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, banking and business law. He has broad experience representing developers, property owners and investors in every aspect of the sale, acquisition and development of industrial, retail, office, mixed-use and residential projects. His practice is geographically diverse, representing local and national clients in every phase of the real estate transaction.

Mr. Moffitt represents banks in all aspects of real estate finance, from documenting loans to workouts of troubled assets, such as structuring forbearance agreements with deed in lieu of foreclosure components. He also counsels borrowers in financing of commercial real estate, including all types of workout transactions.

Mr. Moffitt works with landlords and tenants negotiating leases for retail, office and industrial space, ranging from big box anchors to small shop offices.

Mr. Moffitt negotiates construction related agreements and provides counseling in construction disputes.

In addition, Mr. Moffitt represents developers and property owners in land use matters, including zoning modifications, subdivision approvals and annexation agreements. He also advises condominium developers on conversions and new construction projects.

Along with his real estate focus, Mr. Moffitt forms business organizations and counsels middle market companies on operational issues, disputes with vendors and customers, as well as business sales and acquisitions.

Mr. Moffitt has in depth experience in real estate litigation, including mechanics' lien claims, specific performance and quiet title actions and tax deed proceedings. He has litigated numerous trials in commercial matters, obtained many favorable jury verdicts and argued many times before the appellate court.
