Lawyer Overview

STEVEN M. SZYMANSKI is a partner in our Milwaukee office where he advises clients on a wide range of business matters, including: business formation, capitalization and governance, mergers and acquisitions, taxation, succession and ownership planning, real estate, contract negotiations and other general matters affecting their businesses and business interests. He has been involved in numerous business transactions, representing the interests of buyers, sellers, lenders, borrowers and investors. 

Mr. Szymanski received his undergraduate degree in business administration in 1993 from Marquette University, specializing in finance and marketing. He received his MBA and law degree from Marquette University in 1996. While attending law school, Mr. Szymanski was a member of the Marquette Law Review and was awarded best note for the 1996 Marquette Law Review Writing Competition. He was also a member of the Giles Sutherland Rich Intellectual Property National Moot Court team and was awarded Best Appellant Brief in competition.

After law school, Mr. Szymanski was a consultant in the tax department of the Milwaukee office of Arthur Andersen LLP where he provided clients with tax planning advice for their business transactions and general business matters.  He is a frequent speaker at continuing education courses for both attorneys and business professionals on the subjects of business formation, taxation and advising clients on mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Szymanski is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Tax Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin and is the past chairman of the Corporate Banking & Business Section of the Milwaukee Bar Association.

When not providing advice to clients, Mr. Szymanski enjoys golfing, playing and coaching soccer, and spending time with his wife and two children.
