One thing is clear. Few people can comfortably afford legal fees. At The Legal Clinic of L. R. Taffet, fees and payment schedules are structured to help make payment easier. In addition to charging reasonable hourly rates, in many cases, such as divorce or custody, the Clinic requests a low retainer and allows monthly payments.

The Clinic was formed in 1978 to provide legal services at prices middle-income persons can afford. The only difference now is that its client base includes many persons who can afford to pay high legal fees.

Attorney Taffet has two associates, Barry Wieder and Caitlin Costigan, and two associated attorneys, David Finkelste in and Richard Forman.

The firm is a general practice and handles all types of domestic relations matters, including uncontested and contested Divorce, Custody, Support, Guardianship, and Wills. It also handles Bankruptcy, Chapter 7 and 13, Real Estate transactions, Criminal law, and Business matters including incorporation.

In most Personal Injury cases we take a smaller percent of the settlement than other law firms.
