Mr. Powers is a founding principal of Harris, Karstaedt, Jamison & Powers, P.C. He is a Denver native and has practiced in the Denver metropolitan area his entire career. He has practiced in the areas of litigation, including multi-district complex civil litigation involving commercial aircraft disasters, premises liability for insureds and self-insureds, commercial contract and real estate litigation and leasing negotiations, and defense of professional liability litigation including doctors, lawyers, accountants and construction design professionals. Since 1992, he has practiced in the area of construction litigation and has focused his practice primarily on the defense interests of developers, general contractors and subcontractors in complex litigation regarding alleged construction defects in commercial properties, single family residence and large multi-family condominium/town home development projects. Mr. Powers represents large commercial insurance carriers in the defense of fraud and suspicious claims as well as bad faith matters. Mr. Powers also has an extensive commercial practice including commercial paper negotiation and transaction of monies, instruments and real property and attendant commercial litigation.
