Lawyer Overview

Marshall J. Gluck is a partner in the Firm's Corporate Department and heads its Health Care Practice Group.

In his corporate practice, Mr. Gluck has had extensive experience representing companies and their owners and executives in a variety of business transactions, including the negotiation and structure of business starte-ups, employment and consulting agreements, mergers and acquisitions as well as real estate related transactions and financing facilities. Mr. Gluck also advises individuals and family groups on business and estate planning, including both lifetime and generational planning.

Mr. Gluck has been involved in a number of international transactions in Europe, Latin America and Asia. He has represented companies and joint ventures engaged in technology and intellectual property transfers, manufacturing and distribution of various products, real estate and resort properties, as well as exploitation and development of mineral resources.

In his health care practice, Mr. Gluck provides counsel to health care companies regarding strategic planning (in both business and regulatory settings), acquisitions and divestitures, joint offerings, secondary financings, regulatory compliance and licensure.  Mr. Gluck also represents a large number of physicians and physician groups and provides them with general corporate and business advice in their day-to-day operations and has represented physicians with respect to medical staff credentialing and privilege disputes as well as third party audits, licensing and disciplinary proceedings.  Mr. Gluck also represents hospital based provider groups and departments in negotiating and structuring their compensation and governance arrangements.  In addition to his firm activities, Mr. Gluck, a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, lectures at teaching hospitals in the New York metropolitan area on legal and business issues concerning the medical profession.

Mr. Gluck graduated from Lafayette College with an A.B. degree in 1965. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1968 and his L.L.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1970.

Mr. Gluck is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, the United States Tax Court and the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the American and New York Bar Associations and the American Health Lawyers Association.
