Campbell & Levine was founded in 1981 by Douglas Campbell and Stanley Levine, and since that time has concentrated its practice in the area of bankruptcy and debtors' and creditors' rights. During the past fourteen years the firm has evolved from representing individual debtors and trustees in "no-asset" cases to representing debtors and creditors' committees in the largest reorganization cases filed in the Western District of Pennsylvania.

It currently consists of seven lawyers, all of whom are highly experienced in the field of bankruptcy law and debtors and creditors' rights, including the litigation normally associated with this practice area. It has consciously limited its growth over the years to ensure a high quality of service from veteran practitioners who have experience in the insolvency field.
