Mr. Vermeire is a highly accomplished litigator with more than 35 years of experience.
In private practice since 1982, Mr. Vermeire focuses on complex business litigation, securities litigation, internal investigations, corporate governance, SEC enforcement actions and related investigations, and white collar crime. He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Washington, D.C. and Colorado between 1971 and 1980 where, as Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit, he investigated and tried numerous white collar crime cases. From 1980 to 1982, Mr. Vermeire served as Chief Trial Counsel for the Central Regional Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he prosecuted federal securities fraud cases. He is rated AV in Martindale-Hubbell.
