Pam received her undergraduate degree in 1989 from the University of Southern Mississippi with honors. In 1992, she received her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law (cum laude), where she graduated 7th in her class. She also attended the Louisiana State University College of Law as a visiting student for her 3rd year of law school.
Upon graduation from law school, Pam served as law clerk at the Fourth Judicial District Court in Monroe, Louisiana. Upon completion of her clerkship, she practiced for five years with a litigation firm in Monroe. Thereafter, Pam moved to Shreveport and continued her litigation career. She is now of counsel at Colvin Law Firm.
Pam is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Shreveport Bar Association and the Federal Fifth Circuit Bar Association. She served as President of the Northeast Louisiana Women's Bar Association from 1995 to 1997. She was a member of the Fred J. Fudickar, Jr. American Inns of Court from 1993 until 1998. She graduated from National Institute of Trial Advocacy Program in 1996. Pam was a member of the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association from 1996 until 1999 and served on the Board of Governors from 1996 to 1997. She served as Judge to Teen Court in Monroe, Louisiana from 1992 to 1993 and coached Huntington High School's Mock Trial Team from 1999 until 2002.
Until recently, her practice was almost exclusively litigation. She has experience in all aspects of a wide range of litigation, including, but not limited to, personal injury litigation on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants; medical malpractice defense litigation; commercial litigation; insurance defense; defense of municipalities and individual employees against federal and state constitutional and tort claims; employment litigation, including Title VII and state law discrimination and harassment claims, FMLA, and ERISA; Workers' Compensation litigation, Healthcare regulation & litigation; and family law litigation, including divorce, custody and adoptions. She has a Appellate Practice. She as argued before the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Circuit Court.
In her litigation practice, Pam has successfully resolved more than thirty cases in mediation. She now provides civil and cooperative family law mediation services. Pam completed Civil Mediation Training through the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law Continuing Legal Education Department. She completed Family Mediation Training at the Texas Woman's University, Office of Lifelong Learning. She has also undergone extensive self study in the art of conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation. Her litigation experience combined with her mediation training qualifies her to mediate civil and family law cases in Louisiana.
