Lawyer Overview

BARRY R. WHITE is a partner in our Milwaukee office where his practice includes business litigation and commercial law.  Because he represents numerous trade contractors, he also has considerable experience in construction law and construction litigation.

Mr. White is a graduate of Albion College (B.A., cum laude, 1987) and of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1989).

He is the author of  "Actions Against Corporations, Officers, Directors and Shareholders," in The Business Advisor Series published by the State Bar of Wisconsin (2006). Since 2004, Mr. White has taught, along with partner Michael Berzowski, "Ethics for Wisconsin Lawyers," a continuing legal education seminar sponsored by the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is also the on-air legal commentator for WISN's "Business Solutions with Diane Chamness" radio show.  In addition, he is a frequent speaker to trade and construction groups, including a recent presentation to the American Subcontractors Association.

Mr. White's litigation practice, in which he represents a wide variety of businesses in their commerical disputes, has provided him with extensive courtroom and trial experience.  Although he tries many cases, he is a strong proponent of alternative dispute resolution, and seeks to use mediation and arbitration as efficient and cost-effective means of resolving his clients' disputes whenever possible.

He is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Milwaukee and American Bar Associations. Prior to joining Weiss Berzowski Brady LLP in 1992, Mr. White practiced law in Ohio.
