Atchison, Barisone, Condotti & Kovacevich is a full-service law firm with a practice which emphasizes all facets of local government law, but also includes a general civil litigation and appellate practice that addresses employment and personnel law, constitutional law and insurance defense, real estate, construction law, environmental law, and business/corporate counseling. In litigation, the firm regularly deals with all legal issues encountered by municipalities and private sector entities, including civil rights, tort liability, employment, personal injury, construction defects, disaster issues, recreational accidents, real estate disputes, inverse condemnation, eminent domain, nuisance abatement and toxic pollution.

As the contract City Attorney for the City of Santa Cruz and City of Capitola, we serve as general counsel to these cities. In addition, the firm provides general legal services to a number of other public agencies and special districts in Santa Cruz County and San Mateo County.

The firm has recently expanded its practice to include family law. Services provided include child support and spousal support calculations, modifications and enforcement, custody and access, division of family property, pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, domestic partnerships, same sex agreements, mediation and collaborative law.
