Lawyer Overview
Colleen Deep's practice is dedicated entirely to the representation of management in all personnel-related matters, from traditional labor relations disputes to civil rights and employment litigation. Colleen litigates matters in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies pertaining to the National Labor Relations Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family & Medical Leave Act, and Title VII. Colleen has handled a wide variety of cases involving discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful discharge, covenants not to compete, defamation, and other employment-related claims. Colleen also has had significant experience in advising management regarding (i) union representation and decertification elections; (ii) plant closings, relocations, and reductions in force in union and nonunion settings; and (iii) collective bargaining negotiations at the local and national level. In addition, Colleen counsels clients on day-to-day labor and human resource problems and assists in the implementation of corporate labor and employee relations programs, strategies, and training. Colleen also regularly assists employers with labor and employment diligence and successorship issues related to acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations.

Colleen is a member of the American, Ohio, and Columbus Bar Associations and is a contributing editor to The Developing Labor Law.
