Lawyer Overview

Shawn Ferrin is a shareholder in, and former chair of, the Real Estate, Banking and Finance department. He focuses his practice on real property transactions, with an emphasis on retail, resort and community development, including entitlements and public financing. Shawn has handled acquisition, lease, development and financing transactions throughout the West for numerous clients, including Home Depot, American Skiing Company and Micron Technology, Inc. Shawn is a frequent lecturer on Utah real property issues, with a particular focus on title and title insurance claims, and Americans with Disabilities Act compliance. For several years Shawn served as an advisor concerning lender and investor concerns to the Governor's Task Force on Economic Development and the Environment.
