WALTER FEY is an experienced professional in the field of Criminal Defense generally and in Defending Drinking Drivers specifically. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and is a Board Member and has served as a Vice President for the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice (NACJ) and was a contributing author to that organization's publication, "Unreasonable Doubt". He is a member of the National College of DUI Defenders (NCDD), and the majority of his practice is in DUI/DWI defense. He has undergone the training in the administration and evaluation of Standardized Field Sobriety Testing from a certified NHTSA instructor. He is currently Chairman of the Publications Committee for the State Bar of Nevada, and is licensed to practice in all the Courts of the State of Nevada and the Federal District of Nevada, in the federal Central District of California, and in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Fey is a 1970 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, and is a decorated combat veteran. He learned his craft after graduating from law school while a member of a two and then a three person law firm, and then moved on to serve as a deputy public defender for the Office of the Washoe County Public Defender in Reno, Nevada, where he defended his clients against all types of criminal charges. He has been in solo practice since 1999, with an emphasis on Drinking Driving Defense.
