Law Firm Overview
The Law Offices of Irving Joseph Gonzalez is primarily dedicated to the practice of immigration, nationality and consular law. At our firm it is the client and his or her needs that come first. We will assess the merits of the case, the different possibilities available and the likelihood of success of each in order to ensure that our clients may make an informed decision on whether to proceed in a particular fashion.
The firm offers a full range of immigration counsel which includes the processing of all types of visas both in the United States and abroad; preparation of family based residency petitions; preparation of Cuban Adjustment and NACARA residency petitions; Asylum interviews at the Asylum Unit as well as trials before an Immigration Judge; Suspension of Deportation/Cancellation of Removal hearings before an Immigration Judge; criminal immigration proceedings; appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals; naturalization; naturalization appeals; drafting proposed Immigration Legislation at the request of members of Congress; and lobbying in Washington, D.C. for the enactment of Immigration Legislation.
It is our belief that in order to offer a full range of immigration counsel to our clients, we must also offer other services which compliment and enhance the immigration advise rendered to our clients. As such, the firm also practices in the areas of real estate (negotiate contracts for sale and purchase; commercial and residential closings; review of prior title policy and title commitment; preparation of HUD-1), corporate/business (preparation of Articles of Incorporation and all necessary corporate minutes; business closings; negotiate business leases for landlord as well as tenant; preparation of UCC-1), contract (negotiate all types of contracts with an emphasis on employment contracts), and federal criminal law (sentencing work; post-conviction relief including Rule 35 reductions in sentence; appeals to the Circuit Courts).
