Charlie's tax practice includes Connecticut tax matters, on which he is a well-known speaker and author. In addition to tax planning and counseling, Charlie has extensive experience litigating tax cases before the Connecticut Tax Court and the Connecticut Supreme Court, and frequently serves on taskforces established by the Connecticut General Assembly and the Department of Revenue Services on tax/policy initiatives. Charlie is a member of the firm's Tax Practice Group and is the chair of the Tax Committee of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association and the Tax/Fiscal Policies Committee of the MetroHartford Alliance.
Charlie's federal tax experience includes acquisitions and dispositions of businesses, international operations, and executive compensation matters. In addition, Charlie is frequently involved in developing state tax strategies to complement the chosen federal tax strategy.
