Stephen Johnson Overview

Stephen grew up in the Dallas area. In the 1970's, he left the state and moved up north. He graduated from the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, in 1984. After graduating, he decided he'd had enough of the ice and snow, and moved back to Texas, settling in Austin.

He attended the University Of Texas School Of Law in Austin, Texas, and graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Stephen's legal career began in 1991. He worked as an attorney in law firms and also as an attorney for a major insurance company before starting his own practice.

As an insurance company attorney, Stephen gained first-hand knowledge of the way that insurance companies and insurance adjusters deal with personal injury claims. He even gave seminars to insurance company adjusters regarding the ins and outs of personal injury law.

Ultimately, however, he decided that he would use the knowledge that he had gained while working for the insurance company, and use it to help people who had been injured and who were now going up against the insurance companies themselves.

Stephen has been practicing law for 20 years. He is a member in good standing of the State Bar of Texas, the federal courts of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the Southern District of Texas and the Eastern District of Texas, the Collin County Bar Association and the Dallas Bar Association.
