Richard V.S. Roosa was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, January 11, 1935. He attended the University of Florida where he obtained his B.S.B.A. He was with the United States Army from 1956 - 1959. He obtained his J.D. in 1973 from the University of Florida. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1974. Thereafter, 1980 U.S. Supreme Court; 1981, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He was Assistant County Attorney from 1974 - 1975 and Attorney for the City of Cape Coral from 1976 - 1981. He is now the Attorney for the TOWN OF FORT MYERS BEACH. He is a member and past president of the Cape Coral Bar, a member of the Lee County Bar, Florida Bar and the American Bar Associations.
