Richard L. Tousignant Overview

Richard has been a shareholder at Schwebel Goetz & Sieben since 1991. He takes a great deal of pride in representing his clients. He feels there is no greater compliment to a trial lawyer than earning a referral and representing an individual. Most lawyers accept insurance companies’ last offer and convince their clients it is the best settlement for them. Richard refuses to do that. Instead, he views his clients as his employer. His job is to advise them and recommend what is best for them, even if it means going to trial.

With his extensive experience in personal injury law, Richard is frequently invited to lecture and write about topics such as insurance coverage, no-fault law, settlement evaluations and trial tactics.

Richard has handled numerous cases in excess of $1 million. He is a Nationally Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist and was nominated for inclusion in "The Best Lawyers in America" (2005-2006). Richard was recently voted one of the “top 40 personal injury attorneys” in Minnesota (Law & Politics 2006) and has been nominated as a "Super Lawyer" every year since 1997 (Law & Politics).
