Richard J. Lutzel was born in Smithtown, New York.  Rick attended college at The University of Buffalo in Buffalo, New York where he earned a BA in Communication and a BA in Business.  He then went on to law school at Syracuse University where he earned his JD.

Rick has concentrated his law practice to the area of estate planning, asset protection, business law and real estate law.  He has formulated solutions for clients with the most complex of estate planning needs as well as the most simple.  Earning the trust and confidence of his clients is paramount to Rick who understands his role as a problem solver and solution provider.  He has been certified before the Federal Court and licensed to practice in North Carolina, South Carolina, New York and Washington, D.C.

Rick's work on behalf of his clients and their families as well as small businesses and their individual owners has resulted in the peace of mind and financial security of his clients.

While in college Rick played football, lacrosse and hockey on the men's varsity teams.  He now devotes his free time to his family, his church and his community.  He has been married to Maria for 20 years and they have three sons together: Christopher age 14, Luca age 10 and Matthew age 8.
