Rachel Sherman Overview

Ms. Sherman was born and raised in New York, and moved to Houston in 2010. She attended Queens College and received a Masters Degree from Hofstra University before receiving her law degree from Albany Law School.

During law school, Ms. Sherman was selected to intern for three semesters at the office of The United States Trustee in Albany, New York. During her third year of law school, she was chosen to be the judicial extern for the Honorable Robert E. Littlefield, Jr., chief bankruptcy judge for the Northern District of New York. Ms. Sherman has focused her practice exclusively on bankruptcy, and has helped many individuals, families, and businesses obtain relief in bankruptcy court. Ms. Sherman has experience in all phases of bankruptcy law, including representation of both debtors and creditors, and was a staff attorney for a chapter 13 trustee in New York. Ms. Sherman also had her own consumer practice before joining Bailey & Galyen. Ms. Sherman is passionate about her work and strives to ensure that her clients are thoroughly informed, prepared and satisfied during the challenging process of bankruptcy.
