Pamela R. Bollweg Overview

Pamela has nearly fourteen years of experience as a federal district court law clerk. She joined Johnson, Heidepriem, & Abdallah as an associate attorney in early 2008 and became a partner in the firm in 2011. Her practice is focused in trial work and civil litigation, including complex business litigation, fiduciary and trust litigation, class actions, professional malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, and constitutional claims. She also practices federal criminal defense and represents professionals before licensing boards.

Pamela was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She received a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Management from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota, graduating summa cum laude. She also graduated summa cum laude and first in her class from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 1994.

From 1994 to 2008, Pamela was a federal law clerk. She clerked for the Honorable John B. Jones for 5½ years, for the Honorable Charles B. Kornmann for 17 months and most recently for The Honorable Lawrence L. Piersol for 7 years. From her experience with the federal courts, Pamela developed an in-depth knowledge of the federal rules of procedure and federal court practice. She serves as local counsel in several cases assisting out-of-state attorneys in federal court actions including class actions.

In 1995, Pamela was admitted to the State Bar of South Dakota and has been an active member since that date. She was elected as a Bar Commissioner in 2010 and was appointed to the State Bar's Strategic Planning Committee. She served as President of the Young Lawyers Section from 2000 to 2001 and on the Young Lawyers Board from 1999 to 2001. She has been appointed to several committees, including the Continuing Legal Education Committee, and has served as the Chair of the Law School Committee for more than a decade.
