Michael R. DeBruin Overview

Mike DeBruin is an active, "hands-on" attorney whose creativity, attention to detail and effective communication skills have resulted in his selection as one of Texas' Best Lawyers by American Lawyer Media.
He is a member of the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and a former member of the Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Child Support and Child Visitation.
Mr. DeBruin has also written articles and made presentations at family law seminars on trial skills, the tax aspects of divorce, asset tracing and the problems of child support.
Mr. DeBruin has been honored for his hard-working approach in a survey of his peers. He has been selected a Texas Super Lawyer in a compendium of the state's best attorneys featured in Texas Monthly magazine.
Mr. DeBruin was born February 22, 1954 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Minnesota (B.A.,1977) and the South Texas College of Law (J.D., 1980).
He lives in Dallas with his wife and son.
