Michael Knox Overview

Michael Knox has been practicing law since 1989, and is well-known for serving as a district court judge in Cabarrus County from 2000 to 2010.  During that time, he presided over thousands of cases in criminal, civil and juvenile court, balancing the facts of the case with the law to reach a fair and impartial decision. Michael has now returned to the private sector representing clients in domestic, criminal, juvenile, and personal injury cases in Cabarrus County.  He is also a certified Superior Court Mediator. 

Michael’s private practice experience along with the expertise gained through his tenure on the bench make him an asset to both his clients and the firm.

Michael is a native of Davidson, NC but makes Concord his home now.  He graduated from NC State University in 1986 and went on to graduate from Wake Forest Law School in 1989.  He was in private practice from 1989 to 2000 handling criminal, domestic, and juvenile matters in Cabarrus County.

He is a member of the Corporation for the Boys and Girls Club of Cabarrus County, the Odell Fire Rescue Board of Directors, a Sunday School teacher at Bethel Presbyterian Church, a singer in the southern gospel quartet “Witness”, and has performed with The Old Courthouse Theatre in Concord.

Michael is the father of two teenagers and is a motorcycle enthusiast.
