Matthew Coombs Overview
Matthew Coombs is an attorney who specializes in both family law and foreclosure defense. Matthew originally sought to be in criminal prosecution, with stints in both the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Attorney General's Office for the City of Washington D.C., but switched to more client centered practice areas when he experienced the satisfaction of helping clients truly in need of legal representation at the Community Law Clinic at the University of New Mexico School of Law.
In addition to his professional background, Matthew has spent ample time volunteering within the LGBT community to educate himself and others on the unique struggles faced by the community. While at the University of Southern California, Matthew was active in USC's LGBT group, as well as wider reaching groups within the greater Los Angeles area. While at the University of New Mexico, Matthew participated in the Williams Institute Judicial Education Program and presented to both New Mexico State and Federal judges on LGBT legal issues. Matthew incorporates these unique experiences into his practice today.
Since being admitted to the Colorado Bar in 2012, Matthew was involved in the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency's review of the foreclosure crisis of 2008. Soon after Matthew was brought on to the Goldman & Gantenbein team where he uses his unique background to analyze legal issues and present to his clients the different legal routes available to them.
