Matthew B. Drexler Overview

Matthew B. Drexler is an attorney in the Domestic & Civil Litigation Division. Mr. Drexler assists our domestic relations clients in cases ranging from uncontested divorces to complex litigation involving high asset property valuation and distribution and contested allocations of parental responsibilities including parenting time, decision making, and child support. Mr. Drexler also assists clients in juvenile cases (i.e. dependency and neglect actions) and probate matters including guardianship and adoption.

Mr. Drexler also leads the civil litigation subdivision of the Gasper Law Group and has represented clients in complex litigation matters including personal injury and premises liability actions, trucking and major auto accidents, commercial and residential real estate and lease disputes, and commercial and mechanic's liens.

Mr. Drexler brings commitment, experience, and steadfast determination to the clients of the Gasper Law Group. Mr. Drexler's litigation and appellate experience combined with his skill for negotiation and mediation continue to meet the needs of our clients. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Mr. Drexler was an attorney in the law firm of Godin & Baity, LLC located on 17th Street in downtown Denver, Colorado. Mr. Drexler worked on many complex civil litigation cases as well as domestic, criminal, and probate matters. Mr. Drexler brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Gasper Law Group and maintains his connections and relationships with Godin & Baity, LLC including sharing legal counsel roles in several cases.

Mr. Drexler is a former Deputy State Public Defender and worked in the Appellate Division of the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender where he represented clients pursuing felony criminal appeals. Prior to relocating to Colorado, Mr. Drexler worked as a Law Clerk at Dalsey, Ferrara & Albano of Springfield, Massachusetts in the areas of civil litigation, insurance defense, subrogation and personal injury. Mr. Drexler was Symposium Editor on the Western New England College Law Review, graduated with honors, and excelled as a faculty research assistant.

Prior to beginning his legal career, Matt was the Program Administrator for a National Science Foundation Research Program in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of South Carolina.
