Laura Coorpender Ramirez Overview

Laura moved to Denton, Texas at a very young age and ever since has considered it her home town. She is also a graduate from Denton High School. After high school she attended Texas Women's University, in Denton Texas where she graduated with a degree in nursing, as well as a masters' in health care administration.

After managing the transplant center at Parkland Hospital, she turned her sights on law school. She attended law school at Southern Methodist University's (SMU) Dedman School of Law in Dallas Texas and graduated in 2001. While attending SMU, she was a member of the law review and was named to the Who's Who Among Law Students at SMU.

Upon graduation she worked as a briefing attorney for Texas' Fifth District Court of Appeals and then opened Coorpender & Ramirez Attorneys and Counselor at Law, PLLC with her husband, Robert C. Ramirez. In addition to her work as an attorney, Laura is a registered nurse. She and her husband are active members in their church.
