Jill Teehan Overview

Ms. Teehan recently joined Thomas Genshaft, after almost three years as an Associate with Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York City.  Ms. Teehan's practice includes a wide range of litigation matters, including trademark, copyright, employment and general contract matters.  Ms. Teehan has experience in all aspects of trademark law, including enforcement and maintenance of trademarks and federal trademark litigation.  Ms. Teehan also has experience drafting and reviewing employee manuals on behalf of employers and has issued advice related to the Fair Labor Standards Act and other federal employment laws.  Ms. Teehan has advised clients on numerous contract related issues and has worked with clients, ranging from individuals to major corporations, in connection with scrutiny for questionable accounting practices by various state, national and international governmental bodies.

In law school at Georgetown, Ms. Teehan studied Historic Preservation and Natural Resources and Land Use law. In New York, Ms. Teehan was an active member of the New York City Bar’s Association’s Committee on Trademarks as well as a member of the Young Supporter groups of New York organizations including Lincoln Center for the Arts and the Central Park Conservancy.
