Jerome L. Benson Overview
The law Office of Jerome L. Benson has been providing quality and comprehensive legal services to Northern Worcester County and Northwest Middlesex County since 1986. My location on the Worcester/Middlesex County line allows me easy access to all the courts of both counties while at the same time making it easy for my clients in Lunenburg, Shirley, Ayer, Townsend, Harvard, Fitchburg, Pepperell, Groton, Littleton, Leominster and the surrounding towns to see me.
After graduating law school in 1981, I was an active duty Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the Army for four years. I have since retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserves. My last duty assignment was as Director of Legal Services and Chief of Legal Assistance for the Army Reserves in New England.
My practice is a general practice with an emphasis on criminal law (I am a former Assistant District Attorney in Middlesex County), family law (divorce, child support), bankruptcy, consumer law, personal injury, probate law and wills, military law, and general litigation. I represent only individuals and will never have a conflict of interest with your case because I do not represent insurance companies or banks.
My military experience (since serving our country in the active duty Army I have remained in the reserves where I am a Lieutenant Colonel) gives me the toughness to represent any client in the most difficult case. It also gives me the experience to help those clients with legal problems such as divorce, criminal charges and civil lawsuits, which are complicated by military service.
My office is small. If you call on the phone I may very well pick it up if my secretary is on another line or otherwise busy. You will always get personal attention and your case will never be transferred to an associate because I am too busy or your case is not important enough.
