Brad M. LaMorgese Overview

An experienced, respected Family Law attorney, Brad LaMorgese is known for his ability to analyze and balance competing interests in every matter he handles.

One of the few appellate family lawyers in Texas, Brad is a sought-after speaker and has lectured on a wide range of Family Law topics. He frequently provides Texas Lawyer newspaper's website with podcasts on Family Law topics and has hosted a YouTube series discussing common misperceptions of family court.

His work was recognized in the published opinions Sealed Appellant v. Sealed Appellee, 394 F.3d 338 (5th Cir. 2004), In re Zandi, 270 S.W.3d 76 (Tex. 2008)(per curiam) and In re Forlenza, 140 S.W.3d 373 (Tex. 2004) (orig. proceeding). In those cases, Brad appeared before the Supreme Court of Texas and U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit.

Brad is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has served on the Family Law Legal Assistant Testing Commission since 2006. Brad earned the Award of Merit in 2005 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children based on his work before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in a case involving the Hague Convention and the civil aspects of international child abduction. He has been honored in the Texas Super Lawyers list, as well as the Texas Rising Stars list, in Law & Politics Magazine. He also received recognition among the Top Lawyers Under 40 in D Magazine.
