Ashley Martinez Overview

Ashley Martinez represents businesses and individuals throughout the United States in complex and highly sophisticated tax controversy and tax litigation matters including IRS Audits and Appeals, civil tax litigation and criminal tax cases.

Prior to joining Brown, PC, Ms. Martinez’s employment included the following:

• Tax Consultant, International Assignment Services – Deloitte & Touche
  In this position, Ms. Martinez prepared tax returns for expatriates and foreign-nationals. She also administered international benefit packages on a day-to-day basis.
  
  
• Assistant City Attorney/Municipal Prosecutor – City of Arlington, Texas
  In this position, Ms. Martinez represented the City of Arlington in criminal prosecutions. She managed a trial docket of approximately 30 jury trial settings each month and 20 bench trials settings each week. She assisted in the supervision of 5 prosecution staff members.

Ms. Martinez was awarded a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, graduating cum laude and in the top 9% of her class. She was a Presidential Scholarship Recipient, Associate Editor of the Texas Wesleyan Law Review and a Public Interest Fellowship Recipient.

Ms. Martinez was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Accountancy from Texas Tech University.
