Alex Thomas Postic Overview

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1967, I moved to Columbia with my family when I was ten years old. I graduated from the Honors College at the University Of South Carolina and the Law School at the University of South Carolina. After law school, I worked for firms in Columbia and in Myrtle Beach before becoming an Assistant Solicitor for the State of South Carolina.

I prosecuted cases for the Solicitor's Office for five years, in York and Richland Counties. As an Assistant Solicitor, I was in the courtroom nearly every day, and that is where I learned to be a trial attorney. I gained extensive experience in legal research and in the writing of briefs, memoranda, orders, and other legal documents and general correspondence.

I also prepared and presented indictments to the Grand Jury, provided legal assistance to victims and law enforcement, interacted with the public and news media, and presented preliminary hearings and bond matters. As a criminal defense attorney, my familiarity with prosecution and law enforcement has been a valuable asset in defending those accused of crimes.

In 2002, I left public service to become a partner in the law firm of Masella, Postic & Associates, P.A. On February 14, 2004, I opened The Law Offices Of Alex Thomas Postic, P.A.
