Mr. Livens shares his knowledge with others, as he has authored three books on estate planning and elder law: "Generations: Planning Your Legacy"; "Ways and Means -- Understanding Retirement Plans"; and "Love, Money and Control". Further, Fort Worth, Texas magazine has named him one of the top estate planning attorneys in the DFW area.

The Livens Law Firm serves as a valued resource throughout Texas for Medicaid and VA benefits. Our team includes three former Medicaid caseworkers who bring 50 years of collective experience dealing with Medicaid and governmental benefits. Last year, our lawyers completed hundreds of Medicaid and VA applications, and we achieved a 100 percent success rate on them. Mr. Livens taught more than 200 social workers and nursing home staff members about Medicaid qualifications through continuing education courses. Further, he is an accredited attorney for VA benefits.
