Anytime you are involved in a legal matter, you need a lawyer in your corner who is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but one who understands your goals, works strategically to manage your matter cost-effectively, and is as invested in your case as you are. I am attorney Ben Wright, an experienced Columbus litigator who represents individuals and small and large businesses throughout central Ohio in a wide range of civil litigation matters.

I developed a wealth of experience while working for a highly regarded downtown Columbus law firm handling hundreds of cases. In 2014, I founded my own firm, The Law Office of Benjamin W. Wright, LLC, with a committment to provide the same high-quality legal counsel that clients receive at a large firm, but with a level of personal attention that larger firms struggle to duplicate.

I earned my law degree, MBA and engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I continued my education while practicing law, earning a Master in Laws in business and taxation from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. Prior to becoming a lawyer, I was an Army officer for eight years, holding a variety of leadership and staff positions that culminated in company command. I apply the strategic thinking that I learned in the Army to developing litigation plans that maximize the strengths of a case, neutralize weaknesses and minimize costs.

My skill set allows me to work with clients on a wide array of issues, including: real estate, insurance coverage, contracts, property disputes, personal injury cases and landlord-tenant disputes. I have successfully helped clients to:

  • Resolve construction litigation involving contractor disputes
  • Maximize insurance coverage after being injured in an accident
  • Resolve property ownership issues
  • Protect themselves from stalkers

My training and education allow me to bring a unique level of knowledge and insight to my cases.

  • My experience as a construction supervisor and engineer taught me how to decipher construction contracts, building plans and specifications to determine if promised results were delivered.
  • My experience as a small business owner and the skills I learned from earning my MBA and Master of Laws in business give me the ability to understand the nuanced issues facing small business owners and to develop an innovative plan that is tailored to my clients' specific needs.
  • Having represented insurance companies, I understand the intricacies of insurance coverage, particularly in the context of commercial policies.
