Law Office of Edward E. DeWerff Law Firm Overview

The Law Office of Edward E. DeWerff offers Tennessee clients the aggressive advocacy they require when facing criminal charges, have suffered a personal injury or are experiencing family law disputes.

With more than 20 years of extensive legal experience, Edward E. DeWerff formerly served as an assistant district attorney. As a former criminal prosecutor, Mr. DeWerff offers his criminal defense clients insight into the procedures and strategies of the criminal justice system, allowing him to best represent clients charged with various crimes including homicide, assault, DUI, drug offenses, sexual misconduct and domestic violence.

Previous to the 1994 establishment of his law firm, Mr. DeWerff also served as insurance defense counsel. Just as he is able to offer criminal defense clients representation with insight into law enforcement and prosecution, his experience representing insurers benefits his personal injury clients with insight into the legal goals of insurance companies in both settlement and litigation.

Our firm is also committed to providing responsive, effective representation in family law matters such as divorce, child custody disputes or the special property considerations involved in a military divorce. Our firm strives to obtain the best results for our clients in divorce, custody and support matters through agreements between parents and former partners to limit the impact of these disputes on all involved. However, if acceptable agreements cannot be reached, the Law Office of Edward E. DeWerff is always ready to protect our clients' children's rights and property rights in court.

The Clarksville, Tennessee, Law Office of Edward E. DeWerff represents clients throughout Springfield, Dover, Ashland City, Montgomery County, Cheatham County, Robertson County, Stewart County, Dickson County and Houston County.
