Since 1959, the Winston-Salem law firm of Crumpler Freedman Parker & Witt has been providing effective legal representation in the areas of criminal defense, North Carolina State Bar defense, family law and civil litigation to clients statewide. Our criminal defense practice is led by attorney David Freedman (named by Business North Carolina as Best Criminal Lawyer in the State in 2006) and includes all criminal matters – from speeding tickets, DUI charges and assault-related offenses to white collar crimes such as fraud, federal drug charges and felony murder cases. We are particularly well-prepared to handle complex criminal litigation, including all matters handled in the federal court system.
Our domestic and family law practice is led by attorney G. Edgar Parker (one of the first lawyers in North Carolina to receive board certification as a family law specialist) and includes divorce, child custody, complex equitable distribution, post-divorce modifications, marital agreements, paternity claims and a broad range of other issues.
Our civil litigation practice is varied and includes personal injury claims (representing plaintiffs and defending individuals only, not insurance companies), business litigation, will contest and estate litigation, eminent domain litigation, professional malpractice claims and North Carolina State Bar defense (partners David Freedman and Dudley Witt have more than 15 years of experience advising and representing lawyers and judges in matters before the North Carolina State Bar Association).
Crumpler Freedman Parker & Witt offers free initial consultations for matters involving criminal defense and civil litigation and charges a modest consultation fee for family law, divorce and related matters. Our Winston-Salem office (at the northeast corner of Main and 3rd streets) provides free parking on the deck below the building.
