The law firm of Harrison-Donaldson, Attorney at Law, is a boutique law firm focused primarily on the field of business and family based immigration.  Founder, Attorney Kimberly Harrison-Donaldson is known for determining creative solutions to the broad range of your immigration-related legal needs.  She is licensed to practice law in the state of Ohio, where she has been a member of the bar since November 2003. The firm currently operates from two office locations, one in Columbus, Ohio and another in Dallas, Texas in order to better meet her clients’ needs. As a business owner herself, Kimberly is familiar with the challenges that many companies encounter. From starting a business to protecting one, her business acumen and proven marketing abilities has served her and her clients well.

Kimberly holds both a Juris Doctorate degree from The Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law and a Master of Business Administration degree from OSU's Fisher College of Business with a major in Finance and a minor in Real Estate Finance. As an undergraduate at Valparaiso University, Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, majoring in Business Management with minors in International Business and Global Studies, as well as Theology.

Over the years, Kimberly has helped hundreds of individuals obtain employment-based visas, family-based visas, green cards, and citizenship. She has represented clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of Labor, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Through her expertise with a diverse range of clients and cases, Kimberly has developed a strong reputation in the legal community as an attorney who is extremely competent, highly-specialized, professional, and personable.  From initial consultation to case resolution, you will know how committed Kimberly is to seeking positive outcomes for you, your employees, or your relatives.

Assisting Kimberly with the Dallas, Texas office location is Attorney Chris Prescott.  Chris is a valued legal asset for Dallas companies in many industries – healthcare, high tech, medical devices and more – because he personally commits to the needs of business clients, obtaining visas and permanent resident status for employees.  Clients know Kimberly and Chris will meet their employment needs, without undue delay and within a reasonable budget.  Contact Harrison-Donaldson to discuss your legal needs.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:
Comfort Level - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
Credentials - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
Cost - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
City - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?
